My Canada

Acrylic & Oil 24 x 36 x 2 painted with archive quality paint on gallery canvas.

I painted this for a call to artists to paint what the Canadian Flag means to you. If you look closely you can see an image of the Canadian Flag carved out of a dead cedar tree. My thoughts were to capture what Canada means to me. I painted a picture of an island in muskoka with my favourite trees bent slightly from years of wind. The Canadian outdoors has always brought a peace and a calm to me where I can feel close to God and get refreshed.
